Chiropractor
Dr. Maycee Sturino D.C.
Dr. Maycee was born and raised in Freedom, Wisconsin. She participated in many sports growing up, which then translated into her becoming a two-sport collegiate athlete. She met her husband Dr. Alex while attending college and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science. The two then moved to Florida to attend Palmer College of Chiropractic.
Her passion is to provide care for children and pregnant mothers with gentle, specific, and intentional adjustments through the Gonstead method of chiropractic. When Dr. Maycee isn’t busy seeing patients, she enjoys going to the gym and finding the best local coffee shops.
Dr. Maycee chose the chiropractic profession because of the benefits she saw in her sports performance throughout her athletic career. She chose the Gonstead method while at Palmer because of the amount of data and individuality that goes into each adjustment. After suffering from a severe back injury during her powerlifting career that left her unable to walk, she was able to bounce back quickly in a few short weeks from the specificity of care that the Gonstead method offers. As a result, it was obvious to her that this standard of care is what she wants to deliver to her own patients while in practice.
Chiropractor
Dr. Alex Sturino D.C.
Dr. Alex was born and raised in Kenosha, Wisconsin. After high school, he enlisted in the United States Army and served as a medic in the 82nd Airborne Division. After serving, he attended the University of Wisconsin Parkside where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Applied Health Sciences.
He also met his wife Dr. Maycee while at college and the two moved to Florida together to begin their journey as chiropractors at Palmer College of Chiropractic. Dr. Alex is passionate about serving families and helping them reach their full potential with the Gonstead method of chiropractic. When Dr. Alex isn’t busy at the office, he enjoys training in the gym and spending time with his pets.
Dr. Alex stumbled upon the chiropractic profession due to his interest in biomechanics, anatomy, and optimizing sports performance. As a medic, he realized he preferred the holistic approach to healing and instantly was drawn to the Gonstead technique as a result. The Gonstead technique brought Dr. Alex firsthand relief of his symptoms from injuries he sustained in the Army. He also saw how great of an impact it had on both his patient’s and peers while at Palmer. The success stories of the Gonstead technique as well as its incorporation of objective data, biomechanics, and anatomy is what drew him to pursue a career as a Gonstead Chiropractor.
