About Genesis Chiropractic
Meet Dr. Maycee and Dr. Alex Sturino, and step inside our welcoming office in the heart of the Fox Valley — before your first visit.
More Than Just an Office
Take a look inside Genesis Chiropractic in Appleton, WI — our welcoming office and comfortable adjustment rooms, ready for your first visit. But this space is really just where two doctors deliver on something much more personal.
Genesis Chiropractic didn’t start as a business plan — it started with two doctors who’d each personally experienced what specific, Gonstead-based care can actually do. Dr. Maycee’s recovery from a career-threatening powerlifting injury and Dr. Alex’s relief from injuries sustained during his time as an Army medic aren’t marketing stories. They’re the actual reason this practice exists.
When you walk through these doors, you’re getting the same standard of care that got both of us back on our feet — full-spine X-rays, precise analysis, and an adjustment built around what’s actually happening in your body, not a generic crack-and-go visit. That’s the whole idea behind being the only Gonstead-specific practice in Appleton, rather than one more general chiropractor in the Fox Valley.

The People Behind Your Care
Dr. Maycee Sturino
Dr. Maycee was born and raised in Freedom, Wisconsin. She participated in many sports growing up, which then translated into her becoming a two-sport collegiate athlete. She met her husband, Dr. Alex, while attending college and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science. The two then moved to Florida to attend Palmer College of Chiropractic.
Her passion is to provide care for children and pregnant mothers with gentle, specific, and intentional adjustments through the Gonstead method of chiropractic. When Dr. Maycee isn’t busy seeing patients, she enjoys going to the gym and finding the best local coffee shops.
Dr. Maycee chose the chiropractic profession because of the benefits she saw in her sports performance throughout her athletic career. She chose the Gonstead method while at Palmer because of the amount of data and individuality that goes into each adjustment. After suffering from a severe back injury during her powerlifting career that left her unable to walk, she was able to bounce back quickly in a few short weeks from the specificity of care that the Gonstead method offers. As a result, it was obvious to her that this standard of care is what she wants to deliver to her own patients while in practice.
Dr. Alex Sturino
Dr. Alex was born and raised in Kenosha, Wisconsin. After high school, he enlisted in the United States Army and served as a medic in the 82nd Airborne Division. After serving, he attended the University of Wisconsin-Parkside, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Applied Health Sciences.
He also met his wife, Dr. Maycee, while at college, and the two moved to Florida together to begin their journey as chiropractors at Palmer College of Chiropractic. Dr. Alex is passionate about serving families and helping them reach their full potential with the Gonstead method of chiropractic. When Dr. Alex isn’t busy at the office, he enjoys training in the gym and spending time with his pets.
Dr. Alex stumbled upon the chiropractic profession due to his interest in biomechanics, anatomy, and optimizing sports performance. As a medic, he realized he preferred the holistic approach to healing and was instantly drawn to the Gonstead technique as a result. The Gonstead technique brought Dr. Alex firsthand relief of his symptoms from injuries he sustained in the Army. He also saw how great an impact it had on both his patients and peers while at Palmer. The success stories of the Gonstead technique, as well as its incorporation of objective data, biomechanics, and anatomy is what drew him to pursue a career as a Gonstead Chiropractor.
Katie Sampson
Katie was raised here in Appleton but was born in Moline, IL, not far from the Palmer College of Chiropractic. She has been cared for by a chiropractor since middle school and has grown up knowing the importance of functional wellness, knowing God gave us one body and we should care for it to the best of our ability. Katie has worked for 5 years in chiropractic care, and before that she’s worked anywhere from shoe sales to running a summer camp climbing wall to being a baker.
She has 3 nieces, 2 nephews, a cat, and enjoys time outdoors with all of her friends and their families, reading, and traveling.
Why choose us?
Most chiropractors adjust the same way, visit after visit, with no real plan behind it. We build specific care around correcting the actual cause, so you heal and stay ahead of it — not just feel better for a day.
A general adjustment treats every spine the same way. Gonstead care starts with full-spine X-rays and a precise exam, so every adjustment is based on what’s actually happening in your body — not a routine guess.
No high-pressure care plans or sales pitches disguised as treatment. Just honest, straightforward pricing and a plan built around what you actually need — nothing more.
